Spirit of America Blood Drive
In the last year, the Lenawee County Chapter has collected over 6,000 units of blood at drives all over the county. Almost one quarter of those units were collected at our annual Spirit of America blood drive held on 9/11 at Michigan International Speedway. The drive aims to pay homage to the victims and survivors of the September 11 attacks, revive patriotic spirit among Americans, honor service men and women, and increase the nation's blood supply. Since the start of the drive in 2002, the Spirit of America blood drive has collected over 7,500 units, saving a potential 22,500 lives.
For more information on the drive, or to sign-up to volunteer or donate, contact the Lenawee County Chapter today, or visit the MIS website (www.mispeedway.com).
